Release Notes

This version has a new option in the web part configuration labeled "Connect to Links List?". Check this option when the connection is from a list view web part on a WSS Links list.

This will look for a comma in the data received from the connection and truncate the data at that point. This is necessary because the Links list sends both the URL and description together, separated by a comma.

For example, it sends "http://msdn.microsoft.com, MSDN", so if you use {1} as the URL in the Connectable Page Viewer web part, without this new option it would try to navigate to that URL which is invalid. When this new option is checked, it will truncate at the comma and just use "http://msdn.microsoft.com".

Install with:

stsadm.exe -force -globalinstall -o addwppack -f "ConnectedPageViewer_Deployment".cab

If you are updating a previously installed version, then you must "iisreset" after this.

Exactly what I needed. This webpart works wonderfully. I got confused at first with what I needed to put in the URL of the webpart properties so I couldn't get anything displayed until I read through this site for the information. Don't leave the url blank. You can put a URL in there and / or add parameters. In my case I just needed to add a parameter of {page} to pull the page value from my connected list.
